OTINGER, Orval "Bun"

Orval “Bun” Ottinger, 82, of 103 McClafin St., Williamsport, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.  He had been hospitalized one week and in failing health four years.
    He was a butcher and meat cutter and owned and operated a grocery store in Williamsport several years.
    He was born in Cayuga Jan. 16, 1902, the son of George E. and Rosa Etta Pavey Ottinger.  He had lived in West Lebanon for several years, moving to Williamsport in 1937.  He was married in Williamsport in 1924 to Geneve A. Shields, who survives.   He was a member of Modern Woodmen of America.   Surviving, besides his wife are a son, James E. Ottinger, Williamsport; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Duncan, Albany, Ore.; three sisters, Clova Lane and Dorothy Myers, both of Delphi, and Mrs. Ossie Pearson, Attica; three brothers, Walter Ottinger, Williamsport; Lowell Ottinger, West Point and George Ottinger, Delphi; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  One daughter, Helen L., preceded in death.    Funeral services were held at the Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Don Williams officiating.  Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Williamsport. – thanks to “S”
